Short description
Vladislav “Benito” Šoltys is a teacher at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. As an artist, he has worked on the Slovak and international scene. He has worked for the Austrian dance group cieLaroque, Tanztheater Wien and was a long-time member of the Irish theatre and dance group Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre. In Slovakia he has worked in Bratislava Dance Theatre, Elledanse Theatre and Slovak Dance Theatre. He was a teacher at the Eva Jaczova Dance Conservatory in Bratislava, and participated in the China Summer Dance Camp in Sichuan and Tongliao. He conducted a Master Workshop at Beijing Dance Academy in China. He regularly leads workshops at the MOVE Ostrava Festival, ProArt Festival and Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava.
He is the organizer of the Art Moves dance showcase, a national juror of the IDO dance organization and a member of the expert committee of the Fund for the Support of Arts in the Dance and Theatre sub-programme.
